Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in CA7 Workload Automation-iDash Endevor DB2 VSAM JCL COBOL copybooks COBOL IBM Mainframe Utilities and Mainframe. The ideal candidate will work from our office during day shifts and will not require travel. Experience in the Cards and Payments domain is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using COBOL JCL and IBM Mainframe Utilities.
- Utilize CA7 Workload Automation-iDash for job scheduling and monitoring.
- Manage source code and version control using Endevor.
- Design and implement database solutions with DB2.
- Work with VSAM for data storage and retrieval.
- Create and maintain COBOL copybooks for data structure definitions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of software components.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Ensure software applications meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Participate in requirement analysis and design discussions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- Must have strong experience in CA7 Workload Automation-iDash Endevor DB2 VSAM JCL COBOL copybooks COBOL IBM Mainframe Utilities and Mainframe.
- Nice to have experience in the Cards and Payments domain.
- Should possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Should be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must have a strong understanding of software development life cycle processes.
