About the jobRed Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI) is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer. This is an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the development of the RHOAI family of products while participating in open-source communities such as Kubeflow, Trusty AI, and Kserve, and be at the forefront of the exciting evolution of AI. As a Senior Quality Engineer, the role is primarily that of an individual contributor who collaborates closely with other Quality Engineers and cross-functional teams. You will expand existing tests and design and implement new functional and nonfunctional tests, review test results, debug failures, and report outcomes. You will collaborate with engineers within your team and across other teams. You will need to have a passion for working in open-source communities and for developing reference architectures that integrate Red Hat, open-source, and partner technologies into a cohesive platform. What you will do
Create comprehensive and automated test plans for the open-source AI/ML components in Red Hat OpenShift AI
Participate in AI/ML upstream communities to ensure the upstream components work on OpenShift and can be integrated with RHOAI
Generate regular component quality metrics, and test coverage reports
Work closely with the development teams to transform user stories into test cases
Maintain existing automation test frameworks
Present at OpenShift/Kubernetes, and AI/ML-related technology conferences and internally within the AI/ML communities of practice
What you will bring
4+ years of software quality engineering experience, including tools like Robot Framework, Pytest, and Unittest
Experience with developing test plans in Python
Experience with Agile testing methodologies
Demonstrated experience in container-related technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
