Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Masters degree in computer engineering / information technology / computer
applications or related field.
Minimum Experience
Minimum 12 years of professional experience in IT roles. At least 3 years of
experience in implementation and management of IT platforms, applications
and operations for the organization.
Salary Rs. 90,000/- per month

Job Description
The job of Head IT is to lead and implement IT Strategy for the Institution
including IT infrastructure, IT software applications, and other related aspects
to support the Institutes academic, training, and administrative needs. He will
be required to conceptualize, procure services/ onboard vendors, manage the
delivery and operation and maintenance of the systems post implementation.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of the job include the following:
(i) IT Strategy and Implementation Plan Develop IT Strategy and
implementation plan for meeting the varied needs of the Institutions
across departments.
(ii) Procurement of IT applications/ Infrastructure Involves developing
procurement related documents such as tender/ RFP and manage the
process of procurement and ensure successful development of
application/ installation of infrastructure and delivery of services.
(iii) Operation and Management of IT Applications/ Infrastructure
Manage operation and management of IT applications/ Infrastructure
post go live in close coordination with vendors and supervision.
(iv) Networking & Connectivity - Plan, manage, and maintain the campus-
wide wired and wireless network infrastructure.
(v) IT Training & Support Ensure IT training and capacity building of
Staff and also prompt support to the staff in addressing their
challenges
Skills and Competencies
(i) Skills in preparing IT strategy and implementation plans
(ii) Skills in IT procurement, vendor management, and deployment of
enterprise solutions.
(iii) Project management and program management skills
(iv) Technical skills in latest technologies including AI and AR/ VR
(v) Skills for digital transformation initiatives
Desirable
(i) Experience in managing IT Platforms, applications and systems in
academic or training institutions
(ii) Exposure to e-governance tools and open-source software
