Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gold Appraiser to join our team at IIFL Finance. As a Gold Appraiser, you will be responsible for assessing the value of gold items and determining loan eligibility based on the quality and quantity of gold. This is a Junior level position with 1 to 3 years of experience.

The job location is Chennai - Perambur, Trichy palakari, Kanchipuram - .

Qualifications and Skills

• Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience in gold appraisal
• Strong knowledge of assessing gold quality and purity
• Familiarity with gold appraisal tools and techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for record-keeping
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assess the value of gold items based on weight, purity, and market rates
• Conduct thorough inspections and tests to verify the authenticity of gold items
• Determine loan eligibility and maximum loan amount based on the quality and quantity of gold
• Maintain accurate records of appraised gold items and loan documents
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer queries and concerns
• Collaborate with the loan processing team to ensure smooth and efficient loan disbursal process
• Stay updated with market trends and gold prices to provide accurate appraisals
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
