QA Manual - Engineer @ Iris Software

Experience: 3-5 Years in Testing QA Manual with some exposure understanding of Test Automation (not mandatory)

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Perform regression, functional, UI/UX, and integration testing.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to understand functionality and provide QA requisites.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Assist in reviewing automation test results and understanding test scripts (where applicable).
• Contribute to continuous process improvement in the QA domain.

Qualification & Key Skills

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with bug tracking and version control tools (e.g., Jira, Git).
• Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good to have skills

• Foundational knowledge of automation testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman (for API testing), etc.
• Exposure to scripting or coding concepts (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of API testing or database testing (SQL).

Working Hours: 2 PM 11 PM IST [~30 AM ET 30 PM ET].
