Job Description
- Develop and implement production schedules in line with sales forecasts and customer requirements.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
- Monitor production KPIs such as output, downtime, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team including engineers, supervisors, and machine operators.
- Provide training and development to ensure team competency.
- Enforce discipline, safety, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure all machinery produced meets technical and quality standards (ISO, BIS, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement and monitor quality systems.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and quality complaints.
- Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest/implement corrective actions.
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Coordinate with R&D, design, procurement, and maintenance departments.
- Maintain regular production reports and present them to upper management.
- Liaise with clients for technical support and customizations when required.
