Job Description

Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the network and IT infrastructure, with a focus on firewall requirements, for all our clients. Manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network architecture, emphasizing firewalls, managed switches, WiFi access points, NAS, and other network-related infrastructure. Monitor network performance, particularly firewall efficiency, and promptly address any issues to minimize downtime. Implement robust security measures, especially those related to firewall configurations, to safeguard data and infrastructure. Develop comprehensive disaster recovery plans with a specific focus on firewall resilience, and perform regular system backups. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades, prioritizing those relevant to firewall technology. Collaborate closely with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues, particularly those concerning firewall setups. Stay updated with the latest technological. advancements and industry best practices, particularly in the realm of firewall technology. Develop and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, processes, and procedures, with a specific emphasis on firewall configurations and protocols. Qualifications: Proficiency in managing both Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems. Strong knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, and firewall configurations, with a focus on firewall technology. Familiarity with WiFi access points, SD-WAN, and ZTNA technology is a plus. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and software issues related to firewalls. Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in the context of firewall setups. Any diploma or degree. CCNA or CCNP certification would be an added advantage. Relevant product knowledge advantages: Sophos, Aruba, Ruckus, Cisco, Fortinet, Sentinel One, Veeam, Qnap, CrowdStrike, and GLPI, with a specific emphasis on firewall products.
