Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing of mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of exploratory testing, Appium, and Espresso, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile apps across Android and iOS platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden bugs and usability issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium (for cross-platform) and Espresso (for Android).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Execute regression, smoke, and sanity tests during release cycles.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mobile application testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and exploratory testing.
- Proficiency in Appium for cross-platform mobile automation.
- Experience on Espresso .
- Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Understanding of mobile app development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred :
- Experience with iOS automation tools like XCUITest.
- Knowledge of performance testing and mobile device cloud platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
