Position Overview: Maasta is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical team and drive the development of our platform. This is an equity-based position, with the opportunity to be allocated shares in the company after one year of tenure. Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the development of Maasta's platform. Team Management: Lead and mentor the technical team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end development. process, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the technology roadmap, aligning it with Maasta's business goals and objectives. Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the platform. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to achieve company goals. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including investors and senior management, providing updates on technology initiatives and progress. Budget Management: Manage the technology budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs. Equity Participation: Upon completion of one year with Maasta, become eligible for equity allocation based on performance and contribution to the company's success. Requirements: Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, preferably as a CTO or similar position. Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in Next.js, Express.js, Strapi, and other relevant technologies and frameworks. Experience as a full-stack developer, with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development. Demonstrated passion for the media industry and startups, with a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities within these sectors. Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical teams, driving innovation, and delivering scalable solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
