Role & responsibilities
Windows/Linux Architect
Job Summary:
Windows/Linux SME responsibility is to come up with innovative solutions to various IT Infra problems around Compute and Storage and ensure that customer needs are properly defined and satisfactorily met. Implements and evaluates the working of IT Infrastructure and stays abreast of new technologies emerging in the industry.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
Working closely with Network team, security team and applications team. The primary duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Responsible for supporting the customer Infrastructure (Servers, VM, Storage, Backup/Restore, Monitoring tools)
- Responsible for ensuring Infra Availability and Uptime
- Support the Network, applications and Security team during any P1 incidents
- Co-ordinate with OEMs on any complex issues
- Participate in short term Infra projects
- Work with the IT Ops team and resolve complex Incidents and Service requests
- Work with the larger IT organization for any change implementations in the IT Infrastructure
- Responsible for informing Management, partners and peers about Infrastructure performance and Service availability
Experience or skills in the following areas are required:
- 10+ years of experience working in Data centers and cloud for a large Enterprise
- Deep expertise on Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Working knowledge on OS (Windows, Linux)
- Expertise on Private Cloud like Nutanix, Hitachi etc.
- Expertise on AWS and Azure Public Clouds
- Good understanding of Storage technologies like EMC, NetApp
- Working knowledge of Veritas backup, Zerto, Cohesity Cloud backup technologies
- Deep understanding of O365
- AWS, Azure, VMware certification
