Job Description
JD Safety Steward
Education - Diploma - ECE/EEE & SHE certified courses
Experience 1-3 Years
1. Coordinate with Subcontractor and L&T Admin for medical screening for workmen & conduct EHS induction training.
2. Implementation of IMS system at site.
3. Ensure all EHS requirements are compiled as per the Monthly Activity plan & EHS monitoring plan.
4. Regular site visits to all work locations.
5. Ensure daily PEP talk being conducted and risks related to the activities are addressed.
6. In struct the Subcontractor and Site Engineers on necessary Corrective actions on UAs/UCs identified.
7. Guide and help the Site Engineers to conduct site specific HIRA & SOPs.
8. Provide Site Specific EHS training, CWT to staff and workmen. Impart training programs on various safety topics i.e. construction safety, working at height, hot work, confined space, Excavation training, Working on road, Erection of heavy material, Material handling etc.
9. Conduct EHS mock drill and fire drills at site.
10. Conduct EHS Inspections, Update checklists and record observations in VIEW EHS App.
11. Ensure submission of SECs and Checklists by Site Engineers and timely approvals
12. Conduct Site EHS meetings and ensure workmen consultation and participation in EHS activities.
13. Compliance with The Building and other construction workers Act & rules and other safety act and rules listed in Contract document.
14. Coordination with client during their site visits and ensure necessary corrective actions on time.
15. Assist the reporting manager in EHS audits and to ensure the observations/ NCs are closed on time.
16. Prepare monthly, Quarterly reports and update to reporting manager & HQ.
17. Ensure to comply with contractual requirement as per contract.
18. Ensuring standard PPE's at site.
19. Ensure the safe execution of activities without any incidents to achieve the organizational goal of "Zero Harm".
