Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a leadership level executive to provide oversight and future direction for the Life Insurance business within the Insurance Practice of Financial Services SBU.
  • This person will be responsible for business development, delivery management, recruitment, staffing fulfillment, capability building including training within the Insurance practice for Life Insurance and Retirements/Pensions. The role will come with a requirement to closely collaborate with client executives for CXO level engagement and practice leads from other geographies and senior client/Capgemini stakeholders.
  • The candidate should have strong domain skills in the Life Insurance and Retirements/Pensions domain and an innovative mindset. We are seeking not only a strong leader who can articulate a vision, but one who can also shape deals along with the client and delivery executives and drive execution of that vision in a very concrete manner that results in tangible business outcomes (bookings, contribution margin, revenue, market recognition).
  • The role demands liaison with customers, industry analysts (Celent, Gartner, Everest etc.), client CXOs and also building, nurturing and growing partnerships in the core platforms with product vendors & insurtechs)
  • The role demands a high level of autonomy, a strong appetite to drive change and overcome organizational complexity; and a high level of drive to build a business from its current strong foundations to a potential billion-scale business.


Primary Skills

He/She should have 17-25 years of experience with deep domain expertise in Life Insurance and Retirements/Pensions with a strong project track record and demonstrated P&L contribution to sales. A bachelors degree is required; MBA is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Building the Life Insurance growth strategy in collaboration with various Bus and client executives of Capgemini, curation of GTM propositions, sales enablement strategies, business growth and innovation including leveraging cross-industry solutions
  • Guide and support practice members in Life insurance deals qualification and solutioning (pre-sales/delivery)
  • Provide delivery oversight and governance for critical programs and strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Aligns the delivery to clients business and IT objectives, ensure they are met by delivery teams
  • Define and monitor cost estimates, timelines and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed scope and constraints.

Key qualifications include:

  • Exposure to large-scale core platform transformation programs with multinational clients in the market; lead conversations with clients CxOs/VPs of Tier-1 insurance carriers regarding Life Insurance and Retirements/Pensions strategy
  • Being a strategic thinker and a thought leader with in-depth understanding of the impact of emerging technological advances on the Insurance business
  • Experience in E2E program management managing fixed price engagements
  • Manage delivery for multiple programs within the portfolio
  • Strong background of technologies and experience on managing overall delivery
  • Experience in setting up a robust governance model for the portfolio
  • Exposure to solutioning and pre-sales activities working with key stakeholders to push for growth opportunities
  • Proactively identify areas of innovation/automation and value adds to the customer
  • Excellent people management skills A catalyst who will enable and empower next level of leadership to create high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation and internal/external stakeholder management skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills with the professional staff, senior level executives, and the business community at large
  • Demonstrates an ability and willingness to partner internally and externally to achieve appropriate objectives for clients and for Capgemini
