Functions will primarily include the day-to-day accounting of MA and Intercompany activities, monthly close activities, and SOX controls

What type of work will you be doing
Balance Sheet Income Statement analytics,
Reconciliations of liability and asset accounts,
Preparation of quarterly checklists for relevant areas of responsibility,
Preparation of CAO Flux slides
You will also support:
SSP semi-annual testing
SOX Self-testing
Audit (internal external) interaction
Preparation of blackline certifications
Ad-hoc reporting and tasks as required
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing
Support period end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and BS and PL flux analyses:
Within 30 days of employment, become competent with EUC revenue rules, guidelines, and standard operations.
You will work closely with our team located in various locations to ensure proper revenue recognition in the system in compliance with revenue recognition rules and guidelines. You will also ensure proper procedure with local accounting standards specifically, ASC 606 and US GAAP.
Perform designated month end close activity, reporting, disclosures and SOX.
What type of work will you be doing
Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments:
Ownership of certain checklist items/reviews
Provide Revenue guidance and support to cross functional teams including pre-booking review of non-standard arrangements
Perform monthly close tasks, including preparation of various journal entries, accruals, allowances, and reconciliations.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and automating manual processes where possible
Prepare and analyze designated monthly/quarterly financial reports and disclosures (Deferred Revenue STLT, Deferred Roll Forward, Remaining Performance Obligations, AR Unbilled)
Adherence to Revenue SOX Controls, including checklist preparation, testing and perform related procedures and narratives.
Assist with audit requests as needed
Education Required
bachelors degree in Accounting, CA is preferred
Experience Required
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a preference for revenue accounting.
Preferred experience in software industry.
