Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Node.js Lead to spearhead the design and development of scalable backend services and APIs. This role demands hands-on technical expertise, customer interaction experience, and strong leadership qualities to mentor and guide a dynamic development team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Interact with business stakeholders and customer teams to gather requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
- Drive technical decision-making, backend architectural enhancements, and code optimization efforts.
- Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure backend code meets high standards for quality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with project managers and provide regular updates on deliverables and timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Node.js.
- In-depth knowledge of API design standards including RESTful and GraphQL services.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and server-side development patterns.
- Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with prior experience working in customer-facing or consulting roles.
- Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience participating in collaborative, iterative development cycles.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications related to backend development, cloud platforms, or Agile practices.
- Experience in cross-functional team collaboration and distributed team environments.
