Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) who is proficient in both Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Open Source database technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with expertise in managing and optimizing both MSSQL and Open Source databases. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our database systems. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning. Administer Open Source databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization. Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to design, implement, and. troubleshoot database solutions. Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches as necessary. Monitor database systems for performance issues and proactively address them to ensure optimal performance. Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and best practices. Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other team members as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 3 years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Server databases. Strong knowledge of SQL Server internals, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Experience with Open Source database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions. Solid understanding of database security concepts and best practices. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, MongoDB Certified DBA) are a plus.
