Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Collaborate with application developers to integrate database components into applications. Perform data modeling and normalization to ensure efficient database structures. Monitor and backup database instances, demonstrating proficiency in AWS MySQL RDS Administer AWS RDS MySQL instances, ensuring performance and security. Implement and manage database security, including access control and encryption. Conduct regular backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning. Identify and resolve performance issues, optimizing SQL queries and database configurations. Configure and manage AWS RDS instances, ensuring best practices for scalability and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and system administrators, to address database-related requirements. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in SQL development and DBA role with focus on AWS RDS Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design. Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization. Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures. Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred to have worked in elastic search and no-sql databases. Preferred to have familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices and tools
