Senior Performance QA Engineer @ Guidewire Software

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Performance QA Engineer to ensure software meets performance standards and runs efficiently. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will lead performance testing efforts, develop testing strategies, estimation and provide mentorship to team members.

Job Description

Senior Performance QA Engineer Location: Bengaluru Job Type: Full Time Key Responsibilities:

• Performance testing leadership developing and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies and estimation
• Select, implement, and manage performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and frameworks for repeatable testing.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in performance testing and integrate relevant advancements into the testing strategy. Recommend optimizations to enhance system scalability and reliability. Mentor and train junior QA members on performance testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for performance testing across teams
• Work closely with development teams during the design phase to ensure performance considerations are incorporated early. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience:

• 8+ years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a performance testing leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale performance testing projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with performance testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributed systems testing.
• Solid knowledge of database performance testing (e.g., SQL profiling, NoSQL benchmarking).

Soft Skills:

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
