Job Description

: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef with expertise in Indian and Chinese cuisine to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must be Muslim and possess a deep understanding of Indian and Chinese culinary traditions, flavors, and techniques. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management to ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the menu, including designing new dishes and ensuring that all food items are prepared according to authentic recipes and specifications.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in proper food handling, preparation techniques, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing wastage and controlling costs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to sanitation and safety standards at all times.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets the expectations of our guests.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop seasonal menus, promotional offers, and special event menus.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends, ingredients, and techniques to continuously improve and innovate our menu offerings.
  • Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies efficiently and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant, with a focus on Indian and Chinese cuisine.
  • Must be Muslim and have a thorough understanding of halal food preparation practices.
  • Proven expertise in cooking a wide variety of Indian and Chinese dishes, including curries, tandoori, biryanis, noodles, and stir-fries.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff to perform at their best.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification or formal training in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
