Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Medical Transcription and Live Scribing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical transcription, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of medical terminology and transcription standards. The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely transcription of medical documents and live scribing during medical procedures, while also providing guidance and support to team. members. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of medical transcriptionists and live scribes. Assign tasks and prioritize workloads to ensure timely completion of transcription and live scribing assignments. Provide training and mentorship to team members, including new hires and ongoing professional development. Monitor the quality and accuracy of transcribed medical documents and live scribed sessions, providing feedback and coaching as needed. Develop and maintain standardized procedures and guidelines for medical transcription and live scribing processes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other departments to ensure transcription and live scribing services meet the needs of clients and patients. Stay current with advancements in medical transcription technology, industry standards, and regulations. Handle escalated issues and resolve conflicts within the team in a timely and professional manner. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transcription accuracy, turnaround time, and productivity. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements regarding patient information. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Transcription, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical transcription, with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and transcription software. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, healthcare professionals, and clients. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Proficiency in using transcription software and other related tools. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other legal requirements related to medical transcription and patient privacy. Ability to adapt to changing technology and industry trends. Certification from the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) or similar organization is a plus.
