Experience: 4-5 Years Type: Work from Office Location: Bangalore Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days We are seeking a skilled and motivated Storage Administrator with 1-2 years of experience to join our team. As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organizations storage infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and integrity of data storage systems. Your role will involve implementing storage solutions, configuring storage devices, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT teams to meet storage requirements. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain storage systems, including SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage). Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability. Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and recoverability. Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather storage requirements. Design and implement storage solutions based on business. needs. Configure storage devices, including storage arrays, switches, and disk enclosures. Monitor storage performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Optimize storage configurations for performance and efficiency. Implement storage performance tuning techniques, such as load balancing and caching. Implement data replication mechanisms, such as mirroring or snapshots, to ensure data availability and disaster recovery. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures. Test and validate data replication and disaster recovery processes regularly. Implement storage security measures, including access control, encryption, and authentication. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Monitor and audit storage access and usage to prevent unauthorized activities. Identify and resolve storage-related issues and errors. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with vendors or service providers for complex storage issues. Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on storage performance, capacity, and trends. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and the organization. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience as a Storage Administrator or in a similar role. Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and storage protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI). Experience in configuring and managing storage devices, such as storage arrays, switches, and disk enclosures. Familiarity with storage performance monitoring and optimization techniques. Basic understanding of data replication and disaster recovery concepts. Knowledge of storage security principles and best practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to storage systems. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Relevant certifications, such as Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) certifications or vendor-specific storage certifications, are a plus.
