Role Windows/VMWare
Required Skill Set Nutanix, Vmware, Vsphere, Windows Server Administration
Desired Experience Range 6-10+ years
- Install, configure and maintain VMware ESXi & vCenter servers of version 7.0, 8.0
- Manage, maintain, and optimize Nutanix infrastructure including AHV and VMware environments.
- Troubleshooting and RCA of VMware infrastructure.
- Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure.
- Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machines
- Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.
- Good hands on command line of ESX.
- Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
- Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
- Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers' resources between virtual machines.
- Provide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMWare ESX environments
- Configure and optimize the virtual infrastructure
- Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs
- Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements
- Provide security compliance under relevant security policies
- Liaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administrators
- Provide support and advice to projects requiring IT platforms support;
- Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:
- Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes; 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMWare ESX environments, and Multiple data centers
- In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022
- Manage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure
- Manage & Maintain VMware infrastructure
- In depth knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file services
- Responsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by co-ordinating with Datacentre engineers.
- Identify issues is Windows environment proactively.
- Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in Windows
- Health check of Windows environment
- Responsible for building & hardening windows servers
- Analyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidents
- Manage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS shares
