Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
1. 6+ years of experience Monitor and maintain mainframe systems to ensure high availability, stability, and optimal performance.
2. Perform system upgrades, IPL, apply patches, and execute necessary maintenance tasks.
3. Provide technical support for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
4. Application & Batch Processing Support
5. Develop, test, and implement JCL and COBOL programs as needed to support business requirements.
6. Support batch job scheduling, execution, and optimization using scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, CA7).
6. Proactively monitor application and batch processes, ensuring timely and accurate Integrated Life Cycle (ILC) management.
7. Analyze the impact of executive software modifications on applications and provide recommendations to minimize or eliminate negative effects.
8. Understand the interactions between the operating system and applications to identify system requirements and improvement opportunities.
9. Collaborate effectively with application developers, database administrators, and infrastructure teams.
10.Establish and maintain strong partnerships with team members and peers across the Enterprise Systems organization and other application groups.
11.Help plan, develop, and control small to moderate project or product budgets.
12.Coordinate the handoff of work to offshore teams, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
13.Ensure the team adheres to internal process compliance guidelines and best practices.
14.Document solutions, system changes, and procedures thoroughly to support knowledge sharing and continuity.
Shift Details:
Ready to work 6.30AM to 3.30PM or 3PM to 12AM
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
