Job Accountability: Ensure all activities under his/her control and supervision are compliant with all the laws of land and statutory requirement. Conduct all operation of function, ensuring social responsibility and accountabilities by following the company guideline of the same. Be responsible for ethical operation under his control. Be responsible for prevention, detection and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption including breach of code of conduct and other company regulation. Avoid all such activity that could lead to or imply breach of code of conduct, anti- bribery and anti-corruption etc. Formulate safety policies and procedures Conduct risk timely assessments. Train all employees in your health and safety procedures. Conduct frequent safety inspections and checks. Understand & educate the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Demonstrate visible felt leadership Perform Preventive and predictive maintenance system & procedures. Planning and scheduling procurement of Spare parts & Consumable. (Spare management) Setting and controlling rigorous standards and procedures for inspection of in-coming engineering materials and equipment. Manpower planning and ensuring availability of trained manpower all the time. Managing availability and services of external agencies, suppliers and contractors. Maintenance of up to date Engineering Documents Specifications Procurement and utilization of materials and equipment as per Design specifications and drawing in the Engineering Document. Maintaining up-to-date equipment history card. Managing and leading the project team. Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work. Detailed project planning and control including: Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan. Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan. Recording and managing project issues and escalating wherever necessary. Resolving cross-functional issues at project level. Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary. Monitoring project progress and performance. Providing status reports to the project sponsor. Managing project training within the defined budget. Liaises with, and updates progress to, project board/senior management. Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities. Managing consultancy input within the defined budget. Final approval of the design specification. Working closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs. Definition and management of the User Acceptance Testing programme. Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user training programmes. Providing regular status reports to the top management. Co-ordination with Commercial Dept. and stores for supply of materials and contract services. Co-ordination with production Dept. wherever essential for timely execution/completion of jobs. Co-ordination with Internal Customer for prioritizing and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance plans Interdepartmental Co-ordination. Timely Identification of improvement requirements in Engineering specifications, Layout, piping drgs, etc. & ensuring corrections before execution with proper coordination with Project leader/ EP(Projects) To ensure no rework during execution with proper planning and controls of defect free execution, proper material usage and execution with proper/latest revision drgs. Utilizing all available resources to generate ideas, solutions and management programs for Cost reduction and productivity improvement, implementing them successfully within approved budget and timeframes. Monitoring & controlling material wastages/pilferage during execution ensuring optimum materials management. Continuous assessment of job knowledge and work performance of plant personnel and identifying need for training , skill upgradation, and imparting effective training. Working with managers and engineers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization. Tracking competencies of subordinates and providing leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. Ensuring the effectual adopting of new programs and policies and providing training in order to meet improved requirements. To motivate and inculcate sense of belonging and ownership among the plant personnel, through mentoring and personal attention. Effective utilization of manpower and productivity improvement through job rotation, multi-skilling, and rationalization. Educational Qualifications: Minimum Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical Experience Required: Total 10 to 12 years of hands on experience in handling projects and planning functions at unit of large and complex chemical plants
