Database Lead @ Silver Touch

Job Description

he Database Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions, ensuring optimal storage, retrieval, security, and efficiency. This role will support software applications, helpdesk functions, and data centers (DC & NDC) while leveraging Linux-based database technologies, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, maintain, and optimize databases across Linux environments.
• Ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and management strategies using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Manage database security, backup, restoration, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Optimize indexing, caching, and query performance for high availability.
• Provide technical support for software applications, helpdesk operations, and DC & NDC infrastructure.
• Implement replication, clustering, and load-balancing strategies to ensure scalability.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate database solutions into applications.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum B.Tech/BE/MCA degree.
• DBA certification from the OEM of the proposed database system.
• At least 5 years of experience in database storage and management.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based database environments.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL administration, Redis caching solutions, and Elasticsearch indexing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in database operations.

Technical Skills:

• PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and replication.
• Redis, focusing on caching mechanisms, persistence, and scalability.
• Elasticsearch, specializing in data indexing, search performance, and cluster management.
• Linux systems administration, ensuring database reliability in server environments.
• Experience in database security, encryption, and compliance.
