We are looking for Senior Java Developers with AWS to join our Trade Execution team which is responsible for connecting IG to Equity and Forex markets around the world and operates in a 24/5+ environment. As part of the Incubator Trade Execution Team, you will collaborate with the IG Group DMA Teams The DMA teams provide access to multiple markets through multiple brokers, liquidity providers and venues and all are routed through the DMA and our Order Management System (OMS). The Trade. Execution Team will work with the group DMA to deliver the Incubator mission. This is a new role within an incubated business with dedicated teams operating at pace in a startup fashion, benefitting from the sizeable power of the parent company. What youll be responsible for: As a Senior Java software engineer in the Trade Execution Team, you'll take ownership of your work from elaboration to delivery. You'll take requirements, develop and extend solutions, test them and work with our stakeholders to deliver them. This will include: Interacting with our senior developers and architects to analyse needs and requirements Designing and coding solutions to meet these requirements Delivering high-quality support and assurance as the work is rolled out Taking ownership of projects end to end, whilst learning and innovating Collaborating with the DMA Technical leadership team and making use of the Agile development life cycle Overseeing the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions Guiding and mentoring team members, managing project timelines and resources Ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient cloud architectures Who You Are Youre upbeat and enthusiastic, and you have an open mind and a curious, can-do attitude. What Were Looking For We are looking for a bright, driven, flexible, self-starting, enthusiastic senior developer who will be willing and able to help colleagues; articulate communication skills; operationally conscious and flexible to changing priorities and requirements. 6+ years Java development experience and related technologies Experience using cloud services, ideally EKS, Aurora and DynamoDB Mandatory - and related technologies: Spring Framework, JMS, etc. Experience in developing Restful web services using Apache Tomcat A firm believer in the value of agile development methodologies Test Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery Quick to assimilate new ideas and concepts - productive from day one in the role A committed team player with a practical approach to problem-solving, you will show a high level of initiative Excellent attention to detail when under pressure and takes delivery commitments seriously Understanding of Spring security, docker and microservices Strong multi-threading / concurrent programming in Java.
