Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and vigilant Security Officer to join our dynamic team in the train and tourism sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and assets during train journeys and at tourism destinations. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment, preventing incidents, and responding effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities: Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols on trains, stations, and tourism sites to deter and detect security threats. Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor activities and identify potential risks. Access Control: Enforce access control measures to secure restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel and passengers have entry. Verify credentials and conduct thorough inspections when necessary. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances. Take appropriate. action to resolve issues, including coordinating with local authorities when required. Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and reassuring presence for passengers and visitors. Assist passengers with information, directions, and support when needed, enhancing the overall customer experience. Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with colleagues, management, and other relevant stakeholders. Report incidents, observations, and security updates in a timely manner. First Aid and Safety: Possess knowledge of basic first aid procedures and be prepared to administer assistance when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as train operations, customer service, and tourism management, to address security concerns and implement preventive measures. Training and Awareness: Stay informed about security trends, technologies, and best practices. Provide training to staff and passengers on safety and security protocols, fostering a culture of awareness. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, actions taken, and investigations. Prepare detailed reports for management and law enforcement as needed. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend improvements to security protocols and procedures. Stay proactive in identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventive measures.
