Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Workday Project Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end Workday implementation and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday HCM or Financials, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution :
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
- Team Leadership :
- Lead cross-functional project teams, including Workday consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Stakeholder Management :
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Address and resolve project risks, issues, and roadblocks in a timely manner.
- Workday Expertise :
- Guide clients in Workday best practices and provide strategic advice on configuration and optimization.
- Oversee and participate in design, testing, and deployment activities.
- Quality Assurance :
- Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with client requirements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Budget Management :
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
Qualifications
- Education :
- Bachelor s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience :
- 8+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in Workday implementations.
- Proven track record of delivering Workday HCM, Financials, or Payroll projects on time and within budget.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of Workday modules, architecture, and integration tools.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Workday and/or PMP, Agile, or equivalent is highly desirable.
