Job Description

Designation : Business Analyst Location : Kolkata ( no WFH ) Permanent Notice Period : Max 45 days Budget : Upto 25 LPA Experience : Minimum 8 years Education : B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/B.Sc. (Phy/Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics) Preferred Skill Set : Bachelors degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Shipping/Logistics industry. Should have a background of Data Analyst or any BI development exposure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation. Knowledge of business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma). Familiarity with project management concepts is beneficial. Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. . Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables. Areas of Responsibilities : Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for projects and initiatives. Translate business needs into clear and comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements. Evaluate existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, optimization, or automation. Develop process models, flowcharts, and diagrams to depict current and future workflows. Work with cross-functional teams to propose and evaluate potential solutions that align with business goals. Provide recommendations for system enhancements, process changes, or other improvements. Create detailed documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, user stories, and data dictionaries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of requirements and project documentation. Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure alignment and shared understanding. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that project objectives are met. Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) teams to develop test plans and test cases based on requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that the solution meets business requirements. Support change management activities by helping to define and communicate the impact of proposed changes. Assist in training and user adoption efforts. Identify opportunities for ongoing process improvement and efficiency gains. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to suggest enhancements to existing processes and systems
