Job Description

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex engineering projects. While working hands on, will use your experience and knowledge to guide a team of engineers and technicians to complete projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with product and project managers, clients, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that design solutions meet or exceed expectations. Interactions with vendors and finalizing technology and components is one of the important activities. The Senior Design Engineer will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the design process. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of complex engineering projects, from conception to completion. Work closely with product and project managers, application engineers, clients, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that design. solutions meet or exceed expectations. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and technicians throughout the design process. Develop and implement design standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality and consistency across all projects. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the design process. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with other teams and departments to ensure successful project delivery while working in a matrix organization structure. Participate in design reviews and ensure that designs and drawings are thoroughly tested and validated and ensure product performance and reliability. Recommending design modifications to improve product functionality, reduce costs, improve manufacturability and aesthetics. Review with Dematic engineering team for upgrading the design to global standards. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders. Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Providing technical support during product development, manufacturing, and product launch. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in engineering design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor) and other engineering design tools. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Position of design team lead will be preferred. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector preferred
