Position Overview: Boeing C-17 Field Integrated Services team is currently looking for an Experienced Product Review Engineer to join their team in Hindan (Ghaziabad), India. This team seeks a highly-skilled, experienced and motivated individual. This is an individual contributor position in a growing organization. The individual will join the existing C-17 Field Services team deployed at Indian Air Force establishment, to provide engineering support to C-17 (Globemaster III) fleet of Indian Air Force. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced military aviation environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements that span multiple time zones and may require travel, having international experience working with diverse groups and cultures will be an added advantage. The ability to multi task & delivers within timelines is essential. Practical knowledge of the Military Cargo Aircraft Maintenance, Theoretical concepts of Aeronautical Engineering, Modern, state of the Arts Avionics System, Aircraft structure and Mechanical Systems, Aircraft Mission System, Military Airworthiness Requirements, Basic Information Security Management, demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary team, ability to work on computer system without assistance, may also be required in this position. The candidate also will have strong communications skills. He or she must be able to maintain positive relationships with leadership and all levels of the organization, including engineering interface at other international locations. Position Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Use broad knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles. Provide assessment and resolution of issues through the product lifecycle. Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer. Develop and release interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness. Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions. Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety. Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews. Coordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair/recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams. Conduct static strength analysis with the development of repairs. Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers. Develop and implement product/process improvements. Ability to work for extended periods in a wide variety of cultural/economic environments. Must be willing to work any shift (this is a day shift-based position but based on the work, this may change) Must be able to function in a demanding on-call (rotational basis), around the clock environment Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft mechanical, structural and avionics systems Ability to deploy to assist with aircraft recoveries and other sustainment activities Analyzing aircraft data from various onboard recording systems Ability to interpret the wiring diagram of aircraft electrical/electronic system and provide solution to intricate problems. Ability to work with other international teams and provide/seek assistance for aircraft related problems This role will integrate with the existing Field Engineering team of Boeing C-17 Field Integrated Services and provide critical support to C-17 aircraft of Indian Air Force. The role provides guidance and support to IAF C-17 Maintenance Team. The role will also support senior leadership in the development of strategic plans, and business case development, as on required basis. The selected candidate will also be required to support Boeing teams of other FMS countries to recover their aircraft when required. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): A Bachelors degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION in Engineering from an accredited college/University or Equivalent in the field of Avionics/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Communication /Computer Science/ Mechanical/ Aerospace Minimum 10 years (8 years for candidates with masters degree) experience in the maintenance of Large/Medium Military Transport Aircraft. Mandatorily provide supporting Certification from Indian Armed Forces institutes, other equivalent institutes, supporting Basic Aircraft Maintenance, qualification on Specific Type of Aircraft, Engine Run clearances, Aircraft Ground Handling, etc , along with experience certificates. Building Positive Relationships Strong and Effective Communication Customer Focus Analytical Skills Ability to work without assistance on computer systems. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in the Operations, Intermediate, Depot level maintenance of Large/ Medium Military Transport Aircraft. Experience on Maintenance of C-17 aircraft. Conversant with advance diagnostics methods, NDI (Non-Destructive Inspection), aircraft maintenance management software applications, etc Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years" related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 8 years" related work experience.
