Job Description
Role Summary: The ClaimCenter Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform. The role focuses on customizing the platform to meet business requirements, developing integrations, and ensuring the system's reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development and Customization:
- Design and implement solutions within the Guidewire ClaimCenter framework.
- Develop custom enhancements, configurations, and business rules using Gosu scripting.
- Configure ClaimCenter workflows, data models, and UI components.
2. Integration:
- Design and implement system integrations using web services (SOAP/REST), messaging, and middleware tools.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
3. Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the ClaimCenter platform.
- Provide post-deployment support for enhancements and fixes.
- Monitor system performance and optimize for scalability and reliability.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA, and Project Managers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers when needed.
- Participate in peer reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
5. Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for solutions, configurations, and processes.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter development.
- Proficiency in Gosu scripting, Java, XML, and other related technologies.
- Experience with Guidewire configuration, rules engine, and data model.
- Strong understanding of web services (SOAP/REST) and integration methods.
Preferred:
- Experience with database technologies like SQL Server or Oracle.
- Guidewire certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
