Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Lead to spearhead our quality assurance efforts, with a specific focus on leveraging AI tools to generate and execute acceptance test cases for APIs, web applications and mobile apps. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software testing, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and a passion for exploring and implementing innovative AI-driven testing solutions. You will lead a team of QA engineers, drive test strategy, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, train and motivate a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Define team goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Allocate resources effectively and manage project timelines.
- Test Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans, including acceptance, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Define test scope, create test schedules, and ensure alignment with project milestones.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to quality assurance.
- AI-Driven Acceptance Testing:
- Research, evaluate, and implement AI tools and techniques for generating and executing acceptance test cases.
- Develop and maintain frameworks and processes for integrating AI into the testing lifecycle.
- Analyze and interpret AI-generated test results, providing actionable insights to development teams.
- Keep up to date with the latest advancements in AI-powered testing.
- Acceptance Test Case Development:
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
- Utilize AI tools to generate and optimize acceptance test cases, ensuring maximum coverage and efficiency.
- Maintain and update test case repositories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Test Execution and Reporting:
- Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them through the defect lifecycle.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, optimizing testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics and reporting mechanisms.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on testing progress and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading QA teams.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, PHPUnit, etc.).
- Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured).
- Demonstrated experience with integrating and utilizing AI tools for test case generation and execution.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in performance testing and security testing is a plus.
- Experience with multi-browser, cloud based testing platforms such as Saucelabs
