Develop and maintain comprehensive network architectures, including routing, switching, and access protocols.
Evaluate and select appropriate hardware and software components based on performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Design and implement network redundancy and disaster recovery strategies.
Network Implementation and Deployment:
Oversee the implementation of new network infrastructure and upgrades.
Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).
Ensure seamless integration of new network components with existing systems.
Network Optimization and Performance:
Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks.
Implement optimization techniques to improve network throughput, latency, and reliability.
Analyze network traffic patterns and trends to optimize resource allocation.
Security and Compliance:
Develop and implement network security policies and procedures.
Configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
Technical Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior network engineers.
Provide technical expertise and support to other teams within the organization.
Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and trends.
Project Management:
Lead and manage network-related projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure project success.
Mandatory skills:
Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, etc.
Experience with network hardware and software: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Knowledge of network security best practices: firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption.
Experience with automation and scripting: tools like Python, Ansible, or Puppet.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities: guiding and developing junior engineers.
Desired skills:
Certifications like CCIE (RS) and/or JNCIE (SP) would be an added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 11 to 15 years of experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
Education: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree.
