Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and PHP to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with modern backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS (Node.js) and Laravel, CodeIgniter (PHP). You will be responsible for developing robust server-side applications, APIs, and system components for scalable web solutions.
Role & responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js and PHP.
- Build server-side logic using Node.js frameworks such as Express.js and NestJS.
- Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter.
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and secure code while following industry best practices.
- Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
Preferred candidate profile
Backend Technologies:
- Strong hands-on experience in Node.js (with Express.js, NestJS)
- Proficiency in CorePHP
Additional Skills:
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, MVC architecture, and backend security best practices.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments for server-side deployment.
- Proficient in version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms, session management, and data validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 9 years of backend development experience.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
