Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Level 2 System and Network Engineer with around 2 years of hands-on experience to support, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure. You will handle escalated issues, perform system and network administration tasks, and work closely with senior engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Level 2 support requests for system and network-related issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and backups.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Support Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Troubleshoot and support VPN connections and remote access services.
  • Monitor system and network performance using standard tools.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 3 engineers with detailed information.
  • Contribute to process improvement and IT best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT system and network support roles.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Experience with firewall devices (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Preferred Certifications (Nice to have):

  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or M365 Fundamentals
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
