Job Description
Responsible for all Process engineering activities for the projects during execution stage. Responsible for complete process basic & detail Engineering which includes process simulations, design calculations, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations, process optimization, sizing & selection of equipment, Process Flow Diagrams, P&I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies. Review of all safety studies (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP,SIL etc.) reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments. Review & Preparation of process related RFQs, evaluation of vendors quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc. w.r.t process engineering. Review of vendors documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations with respect to process engineering. Responsible for all process. operation related activities in the plant during execution (Pre-commissioning, Commissioning activities & PGTR) and Operation stage. Responsible for Plant Performance Analysis & Monitoring of Compressor /Pump /Catalyst /Exchanger Performance. Responsible for implementation of all energy conservation schemes in the plant during operation stage. To support plant operation team to manage abnormal situations / issues, troubleshooting, etc. Responsible for trouble shooting of Plant Trip analysis, and preparation of Management Reports & Preparation of documents for Government Organizations. Review of proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency. Ensure work allocation and planning for reporting team. Identify and ensure the implementation of training programs for the development of process team Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the field of Chemical engineering from reputed institute. 10-12 years of experience in the Ammonia / Fertilizer plant is required. Detail engineering experience will be preferred. Must have worked in Ammonia plant or projects for at least 10 years. Should have good understanding of all Ammonia process technology. Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications. Must have good understanding of international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures and up to date Best Practices. Must understand crisis management and ability to calmly manage project issues. Dynamic attitude towards project improvements and savings
