Job Description
Sales Force Developer (Sr Role) - is a specialized software developer who focuses on building and customizing applications on the Salesforce platform. They design, code, and implement solutions to extend Salesforces standard functionalities based on the specific needs of a business.
Responsibilities
- Customize Salesforce applications to suit business needs, including custom objects, workflows, reports, and dashboards
- Development: Write code using Salesforce's proprietary languages such as Apex (back-end logic) and Visualforce (UI layer), and newer tools like Lightning Web Components.
- Integration: Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications or services through APIs (SOAP, REST).
- Data Management: Handle data migrations, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
- Automation: Develop automation solutions using Salesforces declarative tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Apex triggers.
- Testing and Debugging: Ensure that the Salesforce applications are robust by testing, debugging, and optimizing code.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Salesforce administrators, business analysts, and other team members to implement solutions
- Platform Knowledge
- Salesforce Customization: Basic knowledge of standard objects, custom objects, page layouts, fields, and validation rules.
- Declarative Development: Hands-on experience with point-and-click tools to configure automation without code.
- Salesforce AppExchange: Familiarity with installing and using apps from Salesforces AppExchange marketplace.
Soft Skills
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working in teams using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Technical Skills
- Apex: Salesforce's proprietary programming language, similar to Java.
- Visualforce: A markup language to create custom user interfaces in Salesforce.
- Lightning Web Components: The modern UI framework in Salesforce for building dynamic applications.
- SOQL: Salesforce Object Query Language, used for querying Salesforce data.
- REST/SOAP APIs: For integration between Salesforce and external applications.
- Salesforce DX: Salesforce Developer Experience, a set of tools for managing and automating the development lifecycle.
Bonus Skills
- JavaScript: Basic knowledge to enhance the development of Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- CSS/HTML: Basic web design knowledge to style Lightning Components.
Candidates with Salesforce certifications like Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified App Builder will be preferred.
