Job Description

    Job Summary:

    The Assistant Product Manager/Product Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of diagnostic testing products. This includes managing the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, working closely with R&D, marketing, sales, regulatory, and customer support teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and growth of diagnostic products in the market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Product Strategy & Roadmap
      • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business goals.
      • Define product roadmap and prioritize features based on market needs, clinical relevance, and competitive landscape.
    • Market Research & Competitive Analysis
      • Conduct in-depth market research, customer feedback collection, and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
      • Understand customer pain points and translate them into product features or new offerings.
    • Product Development & Launch
      • Collaborate with R&D and regulatory teams for the development and validation of new diagnostic tests or instruments.
      • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process, including clinical validation and regulatory approval.
      • Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
    • Product Lifecycle Management
      • Manage product performance through its lifecycle including pricing, positioning, updates, and phase-outs.
      • Gather post-launch feedback and continuously improve products.
    • Sales & Customer Support
      • Act as a point of contact for escalated product issues and customer concerns.
    • Regulatory & Quality Compliance
      • Work with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., IVD regulations, CE, FDA, ISO 13485).
      • Ensure product documentation is complete and audit-ready.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
    • Solid understanding of molecular diagnostics, clinical lab workflows, and IVD regulations.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a regulated industry.
