Job Title: System Administrator (Linux )
Job Location: Vikhroli (WFO)
Shift: Rotational (supporting 24/7 ops)
Job Description:
NCR Atleos is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Ops Engineer III who will be the lead engineer for Linux server patching and vulnerability remediation. The role will require the candidate to research vulnerabilities, approve patching for Linux servers, create necessary change management tickets, and ensure patching is successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Review schedules for all Linux servers globally, for both on-prem and cloud
- Troubleshoot patching of Linux servers
- Identify Linux modules that need to be patched
- Identify patching windows and ensure change management policies are followed
Experiences
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with an understanding of Linux operating systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience patching and resolving vulnerabilities in Linux operating systems
- Experience with Oracle Linux and RedHat Linux required
- Experience with HCL BigFix recommended
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
Requirements:
- Experience: 3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, scripting, and associated technologies.
- Additional Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, experience with performance tuning, and optimizing server configurations.
Work Environment:
- This is a full-time position.
- Candidates must work 5 days a week from the office.
- Candidates should be ready to work in shifts. This team supports 24X7 on a rotating schedule.
