Job Description
As a Lead, you will guide the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Atlassian-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will mentor and manage teams working on Jira, JSM, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools while collaborating with leadership to deliver best-in-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Atlassian department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and emerging industry trends.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Atlassian Developers, Architects, and other technical professionals, ensuring optimal performance and fostering career growth.
- Solution Architecture: Oversee the design and implementation of custom workflows, plugins, and scripts for Atlassian tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Ensure seamless integration of Atlassian tools with enterprise systems and third-party applications to optimize operations.
- Innovation and Optimization: Drive innovation by exploring new features and capabilities of Atlassian tools. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced user experiences.
- Business Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development, and business units, to align technical solutions with organizational needs.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce best practices for Atlassian tools, including data governance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships related to Atlassian products and services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations on leveraging Atlassian tools to achieve business objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Atlassian Forge and Atlassian Connect for advanced cloud development.
- Expertise in database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and system architecture.
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Project Administrator, Jira Software Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in cloud-based solutions and enterprise software.
- Visionary leadership with the ability to influence organizational direction. Strategic thinker who balances technical depth with business acumen.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the technology industry, with a minimum of 7 years specializing in Atlassian products and solutions.
- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring technical teams across multiple geographies.
- Strong expertise in Atlassian tools (Jira, JSM, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), including architecture, customization, and optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Groovy, and scripting tools like Python and Shell.
- Deep knowledge of Atlassian SDK, REST APIs, and integration frameworks.
- Experience with Atlassian Marketplace applications like JWME, BigPicture, EazyBI, PowerBI, ScriptRunner, and JSU Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrated success in driving DevOps practices and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
