Institutional Securities Technology

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST s clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.

Morgan Stanley's Prime Brokerage Client Analytics platform is offered to Fund Services, Prime Brokerage and FX clients. The platform comprises of applications that compute performance and risk metrics on a given set of investments and provides rich reporting capabilities to the end users.

Job Profile

The FX Analyzer platform computes FX exposures on a given set of investments provided by its clients. These proprietary calculations can be used by institutional clients to hedge their portfolios against risks arising out of FX movements. In addition to FX calculations, the platform also integrates with the MS's FX trading systems on Morgan Stanley Matrix to enable trading of FX instruments.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to motivated individuals to make enhancements to this platform.

Skill Set

Required Skills:
8+ years of Java experience
Experience with Spring 4.x+ / Spring boot
Experience with Kafka
Understanding of data structures, caching, design patterns, multi-threading and high-performance distributed architecture
Comfortable working on Unix
Proficient in ANSI SQL
Background in Financial Technology
Desired Skills:
Experience in FX Hedging or Passive Currency Overlay.

Qualifications/Criterion

8-12 years of hands-on experience in Java development
