Job Description
- Reconciliation of tax data with Avalara and preparation of indirect tax filings for North America, Europe, and APEC
- Manage tax compliance process to meet all deadlines and process payments on time
- Manage corporate indirect tax calendar Ensure accuracy in accounting for taxes and preparation of timely account reconciliations in our general ledger Monitor changes in sales tax, VAT GST legislation to ensure compliance
- Work cross functionally with Finance team to resolve customer queries Engage with US foreign finance teams with respect to indirect tax processes and procedures Review and maintain sales tax exemption certificates Handle all indirect tax audits Organize and maintain appropriate documentation for all tax work performed
- This position reports to the Senior Manager of Indirect Taxation and will be responsible in assisting with all indirect tax compliance and any specific tax projects/initiatives as determined by the Vice President, Global Tax, Corporate Controller, or Senior Management
Heres What You Need:
- Graduate/Postgraduate (Commerce) with an overall experience of 5 to 7 years
- Demonstrated knowledge of international indirect tax compliances
- Previous in-house experience within a multinational business and either legal or accountancy firm experience
- Working knowledge of Sales Use Tax/GST/VAT compliances for USA and other international geographies including but not limited to UK, Europe, Australia etc
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, coordination skills and Strong problem-solving skills
