Job Description

We are seeking a Estimation Engineer with a mechanical engineering background for one of our clients to optimize HVAC product Estimation processes for Delhi and Vadodara Location. 

• Project Assessment: Evaluate project requirements, specifications, and blueprints to understand the scope of HVAC work required.
• Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring that estimates align with project goals and financial constraints.
• Vendor and Supplier Relations: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms for materials and equipment procurement.
• Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in HVAC systems to provide accurate estimations based on the latest technology and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
• Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid packages, proposals, and tender documents in response to client inquiries.
• Value Engineering: Collaborate with engineering teams to suggest cost-effective design alternatives without compromising project quality or performance.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in HVAC projects and propose mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all estimates and proposals meet regulatory and industry standards, codes, and guidelines.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, answer questions, and provide additional information as needed during the estimation process.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project handover from estimation to execution.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project evaluations to analyze the accuracy of estimates and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer in the HVAC industry, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems (as applicable).
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with project management concepts and software is a plus.
