SEPAM is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineers for major customer projects globally. We have a number of high profile and exciting projects that require excellent Electrical Design Engineering Talent and we are growing our Chennai team to support this. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) projects, contributing to the design and implementation of electrical systems for our upstream and downstream facilities. Key Responsibilities Utilize advanced design engineering principles and methodologies to develop mechanical. designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to develop comprehensive design solutions that meet project objectives and requirements. Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design evaluations, and cost estimates to support project planning and decision-making processes. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software and other design tools. Perform structural and mechanical analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to assess the integrity and performance of mechanical components and systems. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to optimize design solutions and mitigate potential risks. Support the procurement process by providing technical guidance and specifications for the selection and evaluation of equipment, materials, and vendors. Ensure timely completion of design deliverables and milestones, adhering to project schedules and budgetary constraints. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical design engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and processes. Adhere to Saudi Aramco's safety, quality, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for oil and gas projects. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex engineering analyses and evaluations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within established deadlines. Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to mechanical design and engineering. Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry or a similar heavy industrial environment is preferred.
