Job Summary

Job Title Container Lead, Renal Solutions and Containers (Sr Principal Engineer)

Location Whitefield, Bangalore

Shift General

Job Responsibilities and Skills:

  • As Container Lead, work closely with the Technical Leader and other key stakeholders to plan and execute projects that are technically complex and cross functional in nature at a global front
  • Co-ordinate with multi-functional project team for effective collaboration and deliverables
  • Sound knowledge of Materials, Polymers, Plastics Processing (Extrusion/Molding), Mold flow studies preferably in the area of medical devices/drug device combination devices
  • Sound knowledge of structure property relationships of polymers/materials
  • Prior experience with the new materials development, process optimizations for extrusion and molding and product development in the field of medical devices/drug device combination products
  • Understanding of regulatory, process development and quality management systems in the field of medical devices and related fields
  • Good knowledge of product development stages, Bio design process and life cycle management in the area of medical devices and related fields
  • Prior track record of translating new ideas to workable and commercially feasible products in the area of drugs and related fields
  • Being able to anticipate risks/challenges and willingness to deal with ambiguity
  • Sound understanding of invention disclosures and patent filing processes
  • Strong Project Leadership and ability to flex as the role demands while interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong technical leadership and prior experience of managing cross functional projects at a global front
  • Propose options and develop action plan for problem-solving, product and process improvements
  • Establish, maintain and update technical & Design documentation according to Good Documentation Practices
  • Fluent with Technical Writing, Documentation and reports generation
  • Out of the box and critical thinking ability
Qualifications
  • Masters in Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, Process Development and Polymer Sciences
  • Minimum of 13 to 17 years of diverse industrial experience in the given technical domains of interest
  • Desired if the incumbent had more than one jobs/roles and has interacted with many different global stakeholders in a given role
  • Clear and effective communication (written, oral) and presentation skills.
  • Good stakeholder management (local and global)
  • A proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverables

Skills

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Can effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to shift gears between projects comfortably
  • Fluency in English
  • Good knowledge of Design Control documentation and medical writing
  • Sound knowledge of international/regional/national regulations and standards for drugs and related areas
  • Acquire business acumen with time
  • Experience with Statistics and Six Sigma tools
  • Solid computer skills: email, documentation and collaboration tools: e.g. WebEx, Teams, Microsoft Office products, etc.
