Senior Java Developer @ Conduent

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have 610 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Java/JavaEE technologies and modern frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in full software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  
• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance web and enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  
• Participate in requirement analysis and architectural discussions.
  
• Develop high-level and detailed technical design documents.
  
• Work on multi-tier architecture and microservices-based systems.
  
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, OWASP).
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, DB, QA, and DevOps.
  
• Lead and mentor a team of 510 developers.
  
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  

Technical Skills Required:

• Core Java (Java 7/8/11), J2EE
  
• Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Struts (optional)
  
• RESTful and SOAP Web Services
  
• Hibernate or any ORM
  
• Servlets, JSP
  
• SQL & PL/SQL, DB design skills
  
• Application & Web Servers (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat)
  
• Microservices Architecture
  
• UI frameworks (ReactJS or Angular) Basic knowledge is sufficient
  
• Design Patterns & Design Principles
  
• Secure coding practices (e.g., PCI DSS, OWASP)
  
• Experience with JMS or EJB
  
• Familiarity with Version Control (SVN, Git) and Defect Management tools (e.g., Jira)
  

Desirable:

• Experience in leading small to mid-sized development teams.
  
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
  
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to lead and motivate team members.
  
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
