About the Role

As a Background Verification Manager, youll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our hiring process by leading and managing background verification protocols that support compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This is a high-impact role that helps ensure we build teams with confidence and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end background verification process, ensuring checks are completed accurately and within set timelines
- Collaborate with HR, talent acquisition teams, and hiring managers to define verification standards and resolve candidate concerns
- Coordinate and manage third-party verification vendors, including contract negotiation and SLA monitoring
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance regulations related to employment background checks
- Use advanced Excel and analytics tools to generate reports, track performance metrics, and identify process improvement opportunities
- Regularly audit verification processes to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on background verification procedures and best practices
- Propose and implement improvements to current verification protocols, aligning them with industry standards and company goals
- Support strategic HR initiatives to improve overall hiring efficiency and candidate experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 23 years of experience in background verification or a related HR compliance role
- Proven ability to manage verification operations and external vendor relationships
- Proficiency with background verification tools and software
- Strong knowledge of relevant compliance laws and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills for data analysis and decision-making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
