Job Description
Role
The Architectural Civil Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings, structures, and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards. They combine knowledge of civil engineering principles with architectural design concepts to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and budget for construction projects.
- Develop design concepts, blueprints, and detailed architectural plans that meet the client's needs and comply with local regulations
1. Architectural Design: Develop architectural plans, blueprints, and drawings for buildings and structures, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and safety.
2. Structural Analysis: Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of buildings and infrastructure under various loads and environmental conditions.
3. Construction Management: Oversee construction projects from conception to completion, including site inspections, quality control, and coordination with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
4. Code Compliance: Ensure that architectural designs and construction projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, environmental regulations, and other applicable laws and standards.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, urban planners, landscape architects, and other professionals to integrate architectural and engineering considerations into comprehensive project designs.
6. Technical Expertise: Stay updated on advancements in architectural design software, construction materials, and building techniques to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements, and provide professional advice and guidance throughout the design and construction process.
8. Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates, to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with contractual obligations.
9. Architectural Civil Engineers typically work in office environments but may also spend time on construction sites or attending meetings with clients along with whoever in team.
