Job Description
Role Summary
We are hiring an experienced and assertive Project Manager to lead offshore delivery execution, manage cross-functional projects, and oversee operations for a strategic biopharma client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management within data, analytics, and platform support environments and will serve as the anchor for delivery planning, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and process governance.
Location: Chennai, Workplace Type: Hybrid, Timing: 12 PM to 9.30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Drive end-to-end project lifecycle managementfrom planning to delivery
- Lead project scoping, estimation, scheduling, and execution for development and enhancement initiatives
- Establish project governance structures (cadence, milestones, checkpoints)
- Maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, sprint boards, and documentation
- Collaborate with technical leads to define deliverables, dependencies, and risks
Offshore Operations Oversight
- Support operational excellence by ensuring adherence to SLAs and SOPs
- Coordinate daily ticket reviews, RCA validations, and proactive monitoring initiatives
- Partner with offshore delivery and support teams to manage workload, shift planning, and quality checks
- Serve as a key escalation point and collaborate with the onshore Program Manager on resolution and reporting
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the offshore representative during client reviews and internal governance calls
- Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and project health summaries
- Drive clear communication and alignment between onshore/offshore teams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven project management experience in IT delivery
- Strong experience managing complex data platform or analytics projects
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, sprint planning, backlog grooming
- Hands-on experience with project tracking tools (JIRA, MS Project, ServiceNow, Confluence, etc.)
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
- Background in biopharma, healthcare, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Qlik, Veeva, Salesforce
- Experience working with US-based clients and cross-cultural teams
- Prior exposure to production support, operations governance, and RCA process
