As a Senior DevOps Engineer with SAP BTP expertise in our Managed Infra Services Team in the CloudOS Group, you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining our Signavio CloudOS platform
Our mission is to build the foundation for our application developers so they can focus on creating value profiting from the scale of SAP without being too dragged down by overhead, with low cognitive load, and with security & compliance built-in
We pride ourselves in following a Platform Engineering approach, being infrastructure-as-code only, and we continuously push to adopt new technologies that solve our biggest issues once theyre proven
Location: The New SAP Labs Devanahalli Campus in Bangalore
What Youll Do
Be a key contributor to our platform and the team behind it, co-shaping all technical aspects of software development including our DevOps culture, methodologies, feasibility studies, timely delivery, development principles and practices, and quality assurance
Work closely with the Development Managers/Product Owners/Technical Leads of the group and mentor DevOps Engineers
Actively contribute to technical vision, strategy, and architecture that provides guidance and ensures the ability to meet business requirements in the mid and long term
Be a sparring partner and coach for engineers in the team; provide regular in-depth feedback
Be a lead contributor in our growing Signavio Cloud Infrastructure team
Work closely with a team of DevOps Engineers to design, build, and maintain the platform for our production systems using AWS, Kubernetes, CDK, and Terraform
Follow and push our strict infrastructure-as-code / GitOps approach on AWS
Help us build a unified platform on top of AWS and SAP BTP
Help enable other software engineering teams to own their parts of the infrastructure
Together with compliance and security engineers you make sure that our SaaS product meets regulatory requirements of modern B2B SaaS solutions, as well as our business requirements
What Youll Bring
Engineering graduate with 7+ years of relevant work experience with expert skills in more than one programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java
Longtime experience in hands-on positions, developed leadership skills over time
Experience and toolset in leading and enabling team in achieving technical excellence
Apply software engineering practices like GitOps / ArgoCD, CI/CD, TDD, and GitHub workflow to infrastructure
You understand concepts of High Availability, Scalability, Security, and Disaster Recovery
Previous experience as active part of a DevOps transformation or you have several years of experience working in a DevOps culture
Experience working with AWS cloud technologies and Kubernetes
Additional experience in Terraform, CDK and SAP BTP Preferred
Strong strategic thinking and ability to set and drive the team towards the overall company's strategy
Great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, share knowledge and enable others
Joy for coaching, mentoring, giving feedback and enabling talent to reach their full potential
Transparency about your work, in the form of demos, presentations and reporting to a variety of internal stakeholders

Cloud Infrastructure is one of six groups in the engineering department of the SAP Signavio unit
